Common Acquisition geometries

Electrode Geometries The figure to the right shows some common acquisition geometries for 2D data (wenner, schlumberger, dipole-dipole and pole pole) and the associated geometric factor. Note that this geometric factor can be simply derived from the general formula shown here. For the pole pole array the second current and second potential electrode are placed at a large ditance from the first current and potential electrodes and from each other.
